Diane Seltzer Torre, the principal of The Seltzer Law Firm in Bethesda, Maryland, represents employers and employees in all aspects of employment law and employment litigation. She also serves as a mediator for employment disputes. Annually, she provides employment law training to the judicial law clerks for the United States District Court of Maryland, receiving the judge’s Exceptional Service Award in 2015. She clerked for Judge Frederick C. Wright III, Judge John P. Corderman, and Judge Daniel Moylan of the Circuit Court of Maryland for Washington County after graduation. In addition to her private practice, Ms. Seltzer Torre is an Adjunct Professor of Law at American University, Washington College of Law, in Washington, DC, where she taught Employment Discrimination in the Fall 2015 semester. From 2003 to 2009, she was a member of WCL’s adjunct faculty and taught Employment Law: The Employment Relationship. From 2008-2010, she served a 2-year term as Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Firm Committee in the ABA’s Section of Litigation, and from 2004-2008, she served a 4-year term as Co-Chair of the ABA Section of Litigation’s Employment and Labor Law Committee. She has spoken nationally and locally at various programs on employment law and has appeared as a guest on and in national and local media programs and publications and frequently serves as a faculty member on Continuing Legal Education programs presented by the D.C. Bar.
