Lori Silver is the General Counsel of Partners In Health, a global health nonprofit based in Boston, Massachusetts that provides healthcare to the poor and strengthens health systems in countries including Haiti, Rwanda, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Lesotho, Peru, Mexico and the Navajo Nation. As the first general counsel at PIH, Silver has been responsible for building a legal department, developing appropriate policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, and providing strategic legal advice to the board and executive management. She also is responsible for developing PIH’s enterprise risk management plan. Before joining PIH, Silver served as General Counsel for Decision Resources Group, spent time in private practice, and worked as an attorney for the Office of the General Counsel at Harvard University. She graduated from Harvard Law School and received her B.A. from Stanford University.
