Shayna Sokol, a lifelong Pittsburgher, holds her Master’s and Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from California University of Pennsylvania. In addition to an educational experience that emphasizes Rural, Advanced Generalist Social Work Practice, Leadership Development, and Social Work Research; Shayna is a Licensed Social Worker and maintains certifications in Service Coordination Mentoring from the University of Pittsburgh, a Certification in Health Care Compliance from the Health Care Compliance Association, and is a Certified Investigator with the State of Pennsylvania through the PA DHS Office of Developmental Programs.
Shayna brings with her nearly 15 years of social work experience across the spectrum of service populations including Child Welfare and Development, Residential Services for Older Adults and the IDD Populations, Outpatient Mobile and Family-Based Therapies, and MH Blended Service Coordination. For the last 6 years of her 11 years with Family Services of Western PA and the newly formed Wesley Family Services, Shayna has served as the agency’s Compliance Officer. She currently oversees the WFS’s Compliance, Safety, Medical Records, and Transportation processes, chairs the Compliance Committee for the Conference of Allegheny Providers, and partners with the Allegheny County Department of Human Services as a SPA instructor for new hire case management staff across all county MH providers.
